Dr Marisa Heyns

Aesthetic Medicine

Dr. Marisa Heyns is a General Practitioner who specialises in Aesthetic Medicine. She obtained her medical degree ( MBChB) at the University of Cape Town in 2007 and is one of only a few doctors in South Africa with a European master’s degree in Aesthetic Medicine and Therapeutics (UNICAM, Italy). She brings a wealth of knowledge about regenerative skin treatments. Her passion is deeply rooted in a holistic approach to health and beauty, which is based on ethically sound and evidence-based medical principles. Her desire is to guide each client on the journey to graceful ageing and respect the client’s specific need to look and feel their best.

Her scope of practice extends from minimally invasive procedures such as botulinum toxin and the use of hyaluronic acid-based fillers to more invasive procedures such as Co2 Laser, Fractional Radiofrequency treatments ( Morpheus8) to deeply stimulate the skin tissue, as well as the use of threads to sculpt the face and neck. She also performs a variety of skin treatments focussing on tissue regeneration using adipose-derived stem cells, skin boosters to improve skin quality, and growth factors (PRP) to treat hair loss and improve intimate wellness.

When she is not in the office seeing clients, she enjoys current academic research, as well as the training of fellow doctors and therapists in aesthetic treatments.
