We introduced virtual consultations because we know that distance, travel and full schedules can stand between a patient and their first appointment. Rather than leave these patients without support, we built a secure, professional way for them to start the conversation early, wherever they are.

At Dr Nerina Wilkinson + Associates, a qualified Doctor or Skincare Specialist conducts every virtual consultation and treats it with the same discretion as an in-clinic visit. We see it as the start of your relationship with our team, and always as a step toward an in-person consultation.

A virtual consultation works well if you live outside Cape Town or South Africa, have travel plans that make an in-clinic visit difficult to schedule in advance, or would prefer a private, low-pressure introduction before your first appointment.

International patients considering surgery or an extended treatment plan often use this option to get initial answers and understand what a trip to our practice would involve. 

It’s important to remember that a virtual consultation is not the right starting point for every concern, and our team will always recommend an in-clinic visit as the next step.

Most of our consultations offer a virtual option, from cosmetic surgical consultations with Dr Nerina Wilkinson to skin, scalp, intimate wellness and Menomastery™ consultations with our Aesthetic Doctors and Skincare Specialists. Each one covers a different treatment area, so the information we gather and the questions we ask depend on which consultation you book.

Once you contact our team, we guide you through a short, secure process to gather what your Doctor or Skincare Specialist needs ahead of your appointment. This usually includes a digital medical questionnaire, a short form covering your goals and expectations, proof of payment, and clear guidance on the photographs to submit.

We then confirm a date and time for your virtual appointment, giving you direct access to your doctor or specialist without travelling to our practice. The exact information required differs between, for example, a surgical consultation and a Menomastery™ Skin Consultation, so our Client Engagement Specialists will confirm the details once the most appropriate consultation has been selected.

We treat every recommendation made virtually as preliminary. Because a full physical examination, our VISIA Skin Analysis and Next Motion photography all require an in-person visit, we ask every patient to complete a follow-up consultation at our practice before we confirm a final treatment plan.

Pricing depends on the consultation you book, starting from R1,120 for options such as our Menomastery™ Hair or Intimate Wellness Consultation, and ranging to R2,850 for a Facial Surgery Consultation with Dr Nerina Wilkinson.

Each price reflects the time, expertise and preparation a particular consultation requires, whichever doctor or specialist you see. We require payment in advance to confirm your appointment date.

Yes. We manage your virtual consultation, along with any documentation, medical history and photographs you share with us, through a secure, private digital process. Every submission receives the same discretion we apply to in-clinic patient records.

No. A virtual consultation is a valuable starting point, but it cannot replace the physical examination, close-up photography and hands-on assessment an in-clinic consultation provides. Some concerns require your doctor or Skincare Specialist to examine you directly before they can make a recommendation.

We ask every patient who completes a virtual consultation to follow up in person at our V&A Waterfront practice, where your VISIA Skin Analysis, Next Motion photography and full assessment inform your final treatment plan.
