ClearLift is one of Harmony XL Pro’s most popular treatments. It is known as the Hollywood Laser “collagen booster facelift” treatment and is considered to be the most comprehensive Q-Switched Nd:YAG treatment solution available today.

The ClearLift treatment can treat a variety of age-related skin imperfections including wrinkles, fine lines, photodamage, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, and skin laxity, and can be done safely and effectively on delicate areas of the skin such as the face, neck, and decollete. It’s based on a unique method of energy dispersion, emitting narrow pulse widths with multiple peaks of energy, resulting in more effective treatment.

The Harmony XL Pro ClearLift laser treatment uses a pixilated skin resurfacing laser to separate light into numerous fractions that penetrate deeply into the skin’s dermis. This non-surgical laser treatment can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, and hands to rejuvenate, plump up, and firm the skin.

Treatment times can vary between 75 minutes and 90 minutes.

Discomfort with the ClearLift is minimal. It is a very gentle, but very effective treatment. You will feel a slight snapping on the skin as the laser is applied to the skin, but this is not painful.

Costs range from R 4 950 – R 8 450 per treatment (depending on the intensity of the treatment required, and the size of the area being treated. You will however be quoted accordingly during your first consultation.

The cost includes a bespoke aftercare pack consisting of relevant product minis to aid the recovery of your skin post-treatment.

When a qualified Skincare Specialist performs a ClearLift treatment in a sterile medical environment the risks diminish significantly.

Possible side effects of a ClearLift treatment can however include very mild discomfort during the procedure. Mild swelling and redness may occur but will go away within 2 to 24 hours. Occasionally small blisters may appear and should not last longer than 10 – 14 days.

What to do before a ClearLift treatment

1. Avoid any strong at-home facial treatments and/or exfoliation treatments the week prior to your appointment
2. Avoid sun exposure (including tanning) for five days prior to your treatment
3. Know the skincare products you are using at home, and bring a list, as having these details will assist your Skincare Specialist to make suitable product recommendations
4. Advise your Skincare Specialist regarding any medications, medical conditions, and/or past skin conditions; even over-the-counter medications can affect your skin, so it is good for us to know what may be contributing to your concerns as well as how your skin reacts to certain products
5. Should you be preparing your skin for a big event, and you have never had a skin care treatment before and therefore don’t know how your skin will respond, it is recommended that you schedule an appointment four weeks before your big event with a follow-up appointment closer to the event date. This way you have time to address any negative skin reactions and get the maximum results from your treatment(s)
6. Be prepared to discuss your skin concerns and goals. Your Skincare Specialist is a licensed expert who will provide you with a detailed plan to best achieve your specific goals
7. We advise against any Aesthetic procedures (including Botulinum Toxin, Facial Fillers, and Threads) 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after any minimally invasive skin care treatment

On the day: ClearLift treatment

Should this be your first treatment at the Skin Clinic, you will be required to complete a short medical questionnaire to help guide your Skincare Specialist in selecting the most suitable treatment protocol for you. Your Skincare Specialist will require access to your face, neck, and shoulders, therefore requiring you to get changed into a robe prior to the treatment.

The treatment will include:

• Cleansing
• ClearLift treatment
• Crystal fibre mask application
• Application of moisturiser and SPF

After a ClearLift treatment

You will however receive post-treatment home care and instructions on how to apply these specific products in the days following your treatment.

What aftercare advice and products should I follow/use?

Your Skincare Specialist will advise on a suitable skincare regime to support results:

• An SPF 50 should be applied twice daily
• Avoid facial waxing for 14 days post-treatment
• Limit sun exposure for 2-5 days post-treatment
• It is advised to avoid vigorous exercise for 3 days post-treatment
• It is recommended to avoid anti-inflammatories and icing the area as the inflammation encourages the release of growth factors within the skin
• We advise against any Aesthetic procedures (including Botulinum Toxin, Facial Fillers, and Threads) 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after any minimally invasive skin care treatment
