Bio skin remodellers are most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenate the neck, décolleté, arms, knees, and hands.

Bio skin remodelers can be used on their own or in conjunction with other fillers, laser treatments, or botulinum toxin as a complementary, rather than a competitive treatment.

Bio skin remodelling (using a stabilised hyaluronic acid-based skin booster) differs from ordinary fillers in several ways due to its structure which allows it to flow over an extended area to boost hydration and smooth and ‘remodel’ the skin. It is injected just underneath the skin’s surface where it disperses quickly and reacts with your own tissue to instantly boost hydration. Over the next four weeks phase two kicks in as it goes to work on boosting elastin and collagen production. This effectively remodels the skin and gives it a plumper, smoother and firmer appearance.

Our bio skin remodeller is a stabilised hyaluronic acid-based skin booster that can disperse through the skin so that it acts more like a hydrator as opposed to a volumiser. This can happen seeing that it contains Hyaluronic Acid molecules that are thermally bonded and not chemically cross-linked. Therefore, rather than just plumping and filling wrinkles, the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid in this particular bio skin remodeller also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, in turn improving skin tone, hydration, and the appearance of fine lines.

The result is improved skin quality that can last up to 6 months.

The technique of injecting a bio skin remodeler is probably like no other treatment you have ever experienced before as it only requires treating specific strategic points on the face and/or neck. The injections are superficially placed just underneath the skin and are relatively pain-free making it one of the quickest and most comfortable treatments with lasting results!

Treatment time can vary between 30 – 45 minutes, depending on the area(s) treated. You’ll be able to go home right away, and no downtime is required.

You may have some swelling and bruising and will need to follow your aftercare instructions, but should be able to return to normal activities within a few hours.

A full bio skin remodelling treatment consists of two sessions, one month apart. The maximum effect of the skin remodelling treatment is usually seen 2 months after the second treatment. To maintain this beautiful result a maintenance treatment can be done 6 months later.

It can take up to a few days to see results from the first treatment of two involved in a full bio remodelling treatment, however, the maximum results are usually seen 2 months after completing a full treatment.

The results from a full bio skin remodelling treatment can last up to 6 months, depending on the individual patient. A maintenance treatment after this point may be required to ensure successful, long-lasting results.

Before & on the day of bio skin remodelling treatments

All make up will need to be removed prior to treatment, so please come ‘fresh faced’ if possible. Alcohol, aspirin, Ibuprofen and a range of dietary supplements including; St. John’s Wort, fish oils, Gingko Biloba, Vitamins C and E- may all contribute to bruising and are best avoided 24 hours before treatment.

After bio skin remodelling procedure

There may be some tenderness, redness, swelling and bruising around the injection site. This is normal and will subside, usually within a few days.  If swelling or pain persists, or you are concerned, please contact the clinic as soon as possible.  

• Bruising is also common after any injections. Arnica gel/cream can help bruises heal more quickly.
• Apply an ice pack to the treated area; this will reduce the initial swelling.
• No recovery time is required and you can return to your daily activities immediately.  
• Avoid touching the treated area within 6 hours following treatment. After that, light makeup can be applied and the area can be gently washed with soap and water.
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
• Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the treated area to intense heat e.g. sunbathing or extreme coldness for 48 hours. Avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours.
• Stay hydrated.
• If you have previously suffered from cold sores, there is a risk that the injections could contribute to another eruption. Please ask your doctor for an antiviral script.
• If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that this may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the injection site.
• Your second appointment is due four weeks after the first one.

There is no downtime for bio skin remodelling treatments. It is advisable to avoid alcohol, aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication up to 24 hours before treatment.

Immediately after your treatment you should avoid wearing make-up, and avoid sports, swimming and any other strenuous physical activity for 24 hours. It is also best to avoid saunas and steam rooms for a few days after treatment.
