ENHANCED SKIN HEALTH THROUGH BIOLOGICAL ACTIVATION AND REJUVENATION
Mesoboosters aim to counteract and delay signs signs of ageing, providing immediate aesthetic enhancement and sustained rejuvenation.
Mesoboosters offer a revolutionary approach to skincare, promoting cellular renewal and a natural glow, while deeply nourishing the skin to achieve a vibrant and youthful complexion.
What are Mesoboosters?
Mesobooster treatments are a blend of skin boosters designed to simultaneously bio-stimulate and rejuvenate all layers of the skin (epidermis, dermis, and hypodermis).
We utilise superior medical-grade ingredients, which include biomimetic peptides, essential vitamins, and minerals. These ingredients are combined with hyaluronic acid and gently introduced to the skin, aiming to stimulate and amplify the skin’s inherent production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid.

Frequently asked questions about Mesobooster treatments
What are skin boosters?
Skin boosters are specialised treatments designed to hydrate, rejuvenate, and enhance the skin’s texture, tone, and overall health. Comprising a series of micro-injections, skin boosters can deliver vital nutrients, vitamins, and hyaluronic acid deep into the layers of the skin. This process aims to improve skin elasticity, reduce fine lines, and provide a youthful glow. The aim of skin boosters is to provide non-surgical rejuvenation without undergoing more invasive procedures.
Our approach to a Mesobooster treatment
At Dr Nerina Wilkinson + Associates we understand the importance of skin health and embracing the facial structures and skin as a whole. The goal is to achieve harmonious results using facial reshaping injectables and state-of-the-art skin rejuvenating treatments.
No area of the face exists in isolation, all areas connected, therefore treating areas in isolation leads to exaggerated and aesthetically unattractive features.
By understanding how all areas of the face are interconnected and how treating one area communicates with another facial area, we are able to use much less product and produce constant and beautiful, natural results.

Who is the ideal candidate for Mesobooster treatments?
Mesobooster treatments are suitable for anyone with signs of ageing, who could benefit from improvements in skin tone, laxity, fine lines, and wrinkles.
It is an ideal boosting treatment to enhance or prolong the results from previous aesthetic treatments such as neurotoxin injections, dermal fillers, or bio-stimulators with CHA (calcium hydroxyapatite), or for those individuals wanting to achieve natural rejuvenation without drastic change.
How are Mesobooster treatments performed?
Before a Mesobooster treatment the skin is prepared with a selected skin peeling agent to prepare and optimize the skin surface and appearance.
This is followed by the insertion of a combination of medical grade active ingredients, selected depending on the underlying skincare concern, and are superficially injected into the skin either with a fine needle or cannula depending on the area and indication.
It is the combination of these two treatments that result in a holistic improvement in the quality and appearance of the skin.
Which areas can be treated with Mesobooster treatments?
While Mesoboosters provide excellent results in certain areas, they are not recommended for zones with a lot of movement or delicate skin.
Mesoboosters can be used to improve modest volume loss, skin laxity, and smooth fine lines in the following areas:
- Forehead and templates
- Mid-face
- Jawline
- Neck
- Back of the hands
Mesoboosters are not suitable for delicate skin around the eyes, around the lips, deep nasolabial folds, around the mouth or in areas associated with constant movement.
What type of anaesthesia is used during Mesobooster treatments?
Your doctor will disinfect the injection site, then apply an anaesthetic (such as lidocaine to the area). The anaesthetic may be applied topically, injected, or may be included in the syringe.

The exact number can vary based on individual skin needs and desired outcomes.
How often should I have a Mesobooster treatment?
For optimal results and depending on the severity of concerns, a patient may required multiple Mesobooster treatments over a set period of a few weeks or months.

Administered in a sterile medical setting by a seasoned specialist, the risks associated with Mesobooster treatments can be reduce considerably
Like other injectables, Mesoboosters are associated with their own set of potential side effects.
Common reactions post-treatment can include redness, swelling, tenderness, pain, and itching. These are typically mild and usually subside within 24 – 48 hours. Bruising and swelling may persist up to a week, but employing ice packs or cold compresses for 24 hours post-treatment can mitigate these effects.

Mesobooster treatments: Before and After
WHAT TO DO BEFORE A MESOBOOSTER TREATMENT
FOR 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR TREATMENT
- We advise strongly that you avoid alcohol, garlic, fish oil supplements, aspirin, or any other anti-inflammatory drugs for pain, swelling, and/or fever, such as medicine containing diclofenac, mefenamic acid, indomethacin, or ibuprofen. Ask your doctor or pharmacist whether your medication includes any of these ingredients. This will reduce the risk of bruising or bleeding at the point of injection.
- Because bruising and swelling are the most common side effects, especially in the lower face, schedule appointments at least 48 hours before any significant event.
- Please let us know if you have been to the dentist / oral hygienist or are planning to go to the dentist/ hygienist in the next 4 weeks.
- If this is your first visit you will need to provide us with information regarding your medical history and any medical concerns, as well as details of any allergies you have or medications you are taking.
DAY OF MESOBOOSTER PROCEDURE
Please note that you will have to arrive without makeup to prevent any Biofilm (bacterial infections) when doing any filler or bio-stimulator treatments.

So that, if they are not in line with the treatment, then another can be recommended instead.

What makes Mesoboosters different from dermal fillers?
Mesoboosters are not fillers or volumizers per se and offer lasting collagen production by stimulating your fibroblasts to form collagen as well as improving the appearance and condition of the superficial layers of the skin.
These treatments should be considered where subtle improvement in the appearance is warranted, or, as a booster treatment to a dermal filler.
